Husk Rare Blend Wins GOLD and awarded the Trophy for Best Rum!
We have some very exciting news to share.
Last night, Husk Rum took home not one, but two major awards at the 2025 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards in Melbourne.
Our Head Distiller Quentin Brival and Founder Paul Messenger were there in person to accept a gold medal for Husk Rare Blend, which scored an outstanding 95/100 from the judges. What an honour!
But then came the big one:
The Raymond B “Spike” Dessert III Trophy for BEST RUM in Australia.
This prestigious trophy is awarded just once a year to the highest scoring rum in the entire competition. And what do you know... they called our name!
We’re absolutely stoked. This trophy is a huge recognition of everything that goes into making Husk Rare Blend - from long days on the harvester to late nights in the still house. It’s a tribute to our team, who pour their heart into crafting a truly Australian style of rum, made from fresh cane juice grown right here on our farm.
This is an exciting moment for us - and a little bit of history for Australian rum.
