Husk Rum x Earth Beer Collaborate on New Barrel-Aged Stout

Last year when Zeke from Earth Brewery asked if they could borrow some Husk Rum barrels to age a stout, we said heck yes!

We picked out some of our best hogshead barrels which had aged Husk Rare Blend for several years, and Zeke rolled down the valley from Cudgen to Tumbulgum to pick them up.

Ageing beer in ex spirit barrels adds flavour and complexity to the beer as it reacts with the wood and picks up notes from the rum. DUSK is now complete - a beautiful, rich & delicious collab between Husk and Earth. It’s available in VERY limited quantities from Earth Brewery, and available to try at Husk Farm Distillery.

Born from a mutual love of balanced complexity shared by our mates over at Earth Brewery, this special stout began its life as a robust beer full of dark chocolate and coffee notes. After spending time in 5-year single-origin, pure cane, HUSK rum barrels, its characters are amazingly balanced and complemented by subtle hints of vanilla, toffee and dried fruits… Then finished off with a warming hit of smooth, sweet rum!
